HOME Down Payment Assistance
AFV’s HOME program helps low- and moderate-income families with a down payment that is combined with a mortgage. It is for families who can’t qualify for their mortgage on their own; you need eligible income to qualify for the mortgage.
- Residency: You must have lived in Puerto Rico for the last 12 months
- Ownership: Generally no property owned in the last 3 years
- Location: Any of the 78 municipios, if the home meets program standards
- Repayment: None if you meet the restrictive conditions and affordability period
- Price limits: A home priced above the program’s limits can’t be used, even if you pay the difference
Contact AFV at afv.pr.gov/home for current terms.
Income and Purchase Price Limits
